1Buffer Spring

Instructions:

Step L11.0: Remove Existing Buffer Assembly (replacement/upgrade only)

If you are replacing your existing buffer assembly (or need to remove the buffer assembly for any other reason), first ensure the firearm is unloaded.

With the upper receiver open (secured to lower receiver by pivot pin) or removed from the lower receiver, depress the buffer retainer pin and spring and pull the buffer and buffer spring out of the receiver extension.

Step L11.1: Lubricate the Buffer Spring

Using a clean wipe dampened with wet lube, wipe the buffer spring to apply a thin layer of lubricant.

Step L11.2: Insert the Buffer Spring into the Receiver Extension

Slide the buffer spring into the receiver extension. You may need to depress the buffer retainer pin, if the buffer spring gets caught.

Step L11.3: Install the Buffer into the Receiver Extension

Seat the narrow end of the buffer into the buffer spring. Push the buffer past the buffer retainer pin. Note that you may need to depress the buffer retainer pin using your finger or a small flathead screwdriver.
