Troubleshoot

The AR is a complex weapon system.  There are a lot of moving and interdependent parts and systems.  When things go wrong, it can be a challenge to decrypt the symptoms.

We are working on a comprehensive troubleshooting guide of the AR platform.  It will cover 95% of the scenarios that you are likely to encounter.  There will be some weird sh*t we can’t predict or imagine.  But, we’ll cover most of it.

Please note that these pages are a work in progress.  We will start off by publishing fault tree diagrams of various dysfunctions of the weapon system.  These are the basis of root cause analysis.  We will add in the correction and corrective action in the coming months.

Malfunctions

In this collection, we cover the most common malfunctions during the operation of the weapon system.  These include things like failure-to-fire, failure-to-feed, failure-to-extract, failure-to-eject, etc.

Damage

Sometimes our AR doesn’t speak to us in malfunction.  Sometimes, we notice that something doesn’t look right.  Gouging, scratching, cracking, wearing, deforming.  These issues will eventually lead to a failure of some sort, and that failure is often catastrophic.

Other Issues

A complex system like the AR can present all sorts of surprises.  Some of them are cool.  Some of them make us want to toss the gun in a creek.
