Description

Built to the Standard That Matters

If you want maximum performance from your BCG without compromising correct system behavior—this is it.

  • True Mil-Spec materials and heat treatment
  • DLC-coated bolt head for increased wear resistance and reduced friction at the locking interface
  • DLC-coated carrier for reduced friction and increased surface hardness
  • Chrome-lined carrier and gas key for durability and corrosion resistance
  • Properly staked gas key with Michiguns O.C.K.S. fasteners
  • Extractor and critical small components retained in phosphate for proper grip and dimensional consistency
  • Gauged critical dimensions for function and reliability
  • Sprinco 5-coil extra power extractor spring with O-ring to enhance extraction reliability
  • Index-marked DLC cam pin to maintain consistent orientation and monitor wear over time
  • Assembled and inspected to eliminate tolerance stacking issues

Coatings are applied selectively—improving wear and friction characteristics where appropriate without compromising function in areas that rely on material properties and surface interaction.

The extractor system is configured for reliable function under adverse conditions using an extra power spring and O-ring. A standard extractor spring and insert are also included, allowing the system to be tuned without compromising baseline reliability.

Small details like cam pin orientation matter—consistent alignment helps manage wear patterns and maintain predictable system behavior over time.

This is not a coating applied to compensate for poor design—it is applied on top of a correctly built system.

Reliable Function Under Real Conditions

A rifle is only as reliable as its operating system—and the BCG is at the center of it.

Built around functional gas system efficiency—not excessive gas or loose tolerances.

This BCG is configured to:

  • Maintain proper gas system efficiency
  • Ensure consistent lockup and extraction
  • Reduce friction during cycling
  • Run across a wide range of ammo and environmental conditions

DLC reduces surface friction and fouling adhesion, contributing to smoother cycling and easier cleaning over extended use.

Built for Longevity

We don’t just assemble BCGs—we validate them.

  • Shot peened bolt for fatigue resistance
  • HPT and MPI tested bolt (individually)
  • Sprinco extractor, ejector springs, and gas rings for extended service life
  • Chrome silicon spring systems with stress relief and cryo treatment
  • Microbest sub-components from a proven government contractor

The DLC coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, helping maintain performance under extended use while reducing maintenance burden.

This is the standard we build our rifles around—and the same standard offered here.

Full Technical Specifications

The following table outlines the nominal component specifications for our Enhanced DLC BCG.

Materials & Finishes

For metallurgy, treatment, and testing, the Mil-Spec is the baseline in all of our BCGs. Unfortunately, many consumer-market BCGs fall short of that standard where it matters most.

Our Enhanced DLC BCG starts with the same proven material and assembly foundation as our phosphate and chrome models, then adds a DLC finish to the carrier, bolt, and cam pin. The carrier is manufactured from 8620 steel and remains hard chrome lined internally. The bolt is machined from C158 steel, shot peened, individually proof tested and MPI inspected, then DLC finished for increased surface hardness and reduced friction.

DLC provides a hard, low-friction surface that improves wear resistance, reduces fouling adhesion, and helps the system maintain a smoother feel in operation. It is a premium finish applied on top of a correctly built Mil-Spec foundation—not a substitute for it.

Assembly & Quality Control

Most BCG failures are not caused by a single catastrophic flaw. They result from stacked small issues: poor fasteners, inadequate gas key sealing, weak staking, loose dimensional control, inconsistent spring systems, or insufficient inspection.

We build against those failure points.

  • Michiguns O.C.K.S. gas key screws
  • Gas key sealed with Permatex 80019 (Aviation Form-A-Gasket No. 3) to prevent gas loss at the interface
  • Gas key properly staked
  • Critical dimensions gauged for functional reliability
  • Sprinco extractor spring, ejector spring, gas rings, and extractor O-ring
  • Gauging and inspection focused on fit, function, and long-term durability

The result is a BCG assembled the right way, with the right parts, and verified before it ever goes into service.

Why Choose the Enhanced DLC BCG

This is the BCG for the builder who wants the highest level of surface performance without compromising core system design.

Compared to phosphate and chrome, DLC offers lower surface friction, increased surface hardness, reduced fouling adhesion, and easier cleaning.

For users seeking maximum performance and minimal maintenance, DLC represents the top-tier option in the lineup.
