The PBA Quality Promise

We build rifles the right way.

That means using quality-assured components, disciplined processes, and rigorous inspection at every stage of the build. We do not take shortcuts. We do not accept “good enough.” Every rifle and component is checked, verified, and then checked again.

Our promise is simple:

We will never ship a non-conformant or non-functional product.

Excellence is not a marketing slogan for us. It is the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

How We Live Up to That Promise

Quality is not an accident. It is the result of expertise, discipline, and systems.

Among our team are process engineers, LEAN practitioners, certified Six Sigma Black Belts, metrologists, and quality assurance professionals. These disciplines shape how we design our processes and how we verify the work we do.

Every person who works on a rifle or component at Para Bellum Arms has completed the School of the American Rifle (SOTAR) Master Armorer and Gunsmithing Course under the instruction of Chad Albrecht.

We do not simply assemble AR-pattern rifles.

We understand the system.

Because we understand how the AR platform works, we also understand how it fails. Our processes and quality system are deliberately engineered around the known failure points of the platform.

This allows us to build rifles that are both high-performing and extremely robust.

But our verification does not stop at inspection.

Every bolt carrier group, assembled upper, and assembled lower is live-fire tested before it leaves our shop. This is a non-negotiable part of our quality assurance process.

If you would prefer a rifle that has not been test-fired, we may not be the right company for you. We will not compromise our standards or our reputation.

When a Para Bellum Arms product ships, it ships because we already know it works.

We Start With Good Bricks

The direct-impingement AR is an elegant and remarkably robust system. It wants to run. In most cases, a single imperfection will not stop the rifle from functioning.

But when multiple small deviations stack together, performance and reliability degrade quickly.

This is why tolerance stacking matters.

Reliability, efficiency, and safety all depend on the interaction of dozens of components operating within tight dimensional and material constraints. At Para Bellum Arms, we focus on the specific attributes of each component that influence system performance.

Quality assurance begins before we ever place a purchase order.

We source components only from manufacturers that meet or exceed Mil-Spec standards for materials, treatments, finishes, and testing. This is a more meaningful commitment than it may appear. Much of the aftermarket AR component market claims Mil-Spec compatibility, but few manufacturers actually meet the underlying material and testing requirements.

By adhering to Mil-Spec as a minimum baseline, we ensure the durability and reliability of every component from a materials and engineering standpoint.

Once components are approved for sourcing, our incoming quality control process takes over.

Critical components are gauged and inspected before they enter inventory. This ensures that each part is dimensionally conformant and that interfacing components will operate safely and efficiently as a system.

Only after passing this inspection are parts cleared for assembly.

Then We Build It Right

Good materials alone do not produce a reliable system.

A house built from excellent bricks can still fail if it is assembled poorly.

That is why we have carefully designed our assembly and verification processes to ensure consistent execution and repeatable quality.

Our quality system emphasizes traceability and documentation at every stage.

We maintain complete records for every build, including:

  • The supplier and purchase date for every component, from receivers to roll pins
  • Incoming inspection records for all critical components
  • Batch records documenting assembly, gauging, inspection, and testing
  • Identification of the technician who performed each step
  • Photographic and video documentation of critical inspection and testing points

This level of documentation allows us to understand not just what was built, but exactly how it was built.

Full Technical Inspection

Every assembled upper and lower produced by Para Bellum Arms undergoes a comprehensive technical inspection before it leaves our shop.

This inspection verifies dimensional conformity, assembly integrity, and functional performance across the entire system.

Final Verification

Inspection confirms that the rifle is built correctly.

Live-fire testing confirms that the rifle functions correctly.

Every Para Bellum Arms assembly is test-fired prior to shipment to verify proper cycling, feeding, extraction, and ejection.

Only after passing this final verification does a product ship to a customer.

Because when a rifle leaves our shop, it should already have proven itself.
