Now that you’ve selected the large frame (AR-10) class and platform, and have selected the AR-10 carbine, its time to choose a finish level and buy your kit.

We have curated three finish levels for the AR-10 carbine:

Enhanced Mil-Spec (E): This is the basic finish level and the starting point for the other levels. Everything meets the Mil-Spec, as applicable. This is a great starter gun and can be upgraded incrementally up to and beyond our highest finish level.
Furniture and Controls (FC): This builds upon the Enhanced Mil-Spec finish level with improved interfaces with the weapon system and some targeted functional improvements. This finish level will work great for most people and should be the goal for upgrades to the Enhanced Mil-Spec AR.
Duty and Competition (DC): This finish level offers the pinnacle of AR performance. In addition to the improvements of the Furniture and Controls finish level, the Duty and Competition finish level includes significant upgrades to the functioning systems of the AR. This finish level if designed for those who demand absolute performance and reliability.

Below, you will find the appropriate platform components to build an AR-10 carbine on the Aero Precision M5 platform.

Please note that the component kits on the following pages assume that you are building on the Aero Precision M5 platform. If you are building on another AR-10 platform, you may need additional or different components.

About This System

This system is built on the Aero Precision Enhanced platform. It is infinitely upgradeable. Due to the quality and functionality of the associated Aero Precision products, you will never have to worry about changing the platform components.

Everything else is meets Mil-Spec standards. This is a great starter gun that can be upgraded later, one component at a time.

Furniture and Controls AR-10 Carbine Build Kit

About This System

This system is a HUGE step up from Mil-Spec. The interfaces (furniture and controls) are upgraded for a more-user friendly experience. In addition, this system is much nicer to look at. This system has the same benefits of the Enhanced Mil-Spec option, but with the following upgrades:

Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle (color-matched*).
Timber Creek Enhanced pivot and takedown pins (color-matched).
Radian Talon ambidextrous short-throw safety selector (color-matched).
HIPERFIRE Enhanced Duty Heavy Gunner trigger group.
Wilson Combat anti-walk trigger/hammer pins.
Aero Precision Enhanced carbine receiver extension (color-matched).
Magpul MOE pistol grip (color-matched).
Magpul MOE buttstock (color-matched).

*Note that the FDE AR-10 Radian Raptor has been unavailable for quite a while. We have temporarily substituted the black version for the FDE build.
